Capturing Life's Stories
Life Stories Matter
When a loved one passes away, all you have left are memories. The Life Stories program creates a way for individuals to renew, relive and relate those memories to the loved ones they are leaving behind. Sharing those precious memories with loved ones instills the individual with a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
At the request of an individual, Great Lakes Hospice volunteers conduct a series of “Life Story” interviews, recorded on audio tapes, allowing the individual to create a keepsake for their future generations. Great Lakes Hospice Foundation created Life Stories to be free of charge, providing extraordinary support to the individuals and their families without the burden of cost.
Life Stories is a way for families and caretakers to capture a legacy and create a memory for themselves and future generations.
Volunteering
The Life Stories Program benefits its patients in the most positive and personal of ways, but were it not for volunteers, the Program would not be possible. Click here to find out more about the benefits of volunteering and volunteer service.
