Did You Know Four Hours a Month Could Constitute a Small Miracle?
Erma Bombeck said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Volunteers for Great Lakes Hospice hold this saying close to their hearts as they care for the most precious and special people who are in the final months or weeks of their life.
Our volunteer family and staff address the physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs of the terminally ill patient who is often in need of compassionate care and assistance with daily activities.
As a volunteer, the time that you give will make a difference in a patient’s life, and will help them remain in their homes, living life to the fullest. Our care also includes supporting Hospice patients’ families. Whatever form of volunteer service you provide, you will realize the joy that comes from giving to others.
