What Constitutes a Hospice Volunteer?

Volunteers come from all age groups. They are students, including teens age 14-17, homemakers, business people, retired and senior citizens, educators, medical personnel and office staff. Whatever their background, they have energy and compassion to share.

Volunteers are characterized as caring and unselfish individuals who give of both themselves and their time to enhance the lives of others. A volunteer is by nature a generous person because volunteers are accepting of the needs of others.
